Camden is an Exploration and Production Company with a focus on Texas. Camden targets Frio, Vicksburg, Wilcox and Yegua trends from the Rio Grande to the Sabine River in South Texas. In addition, Camden is active in the deep Pennsylvanian section of West Texas. Camden brings an exceptional drilling and operational track record and is ready to drill projects.

How is Camden Resources funded?
Camden has forged a relationship with Yorktown Partners, LLC, an institutional investment manager dedicated to energy investment. The limited partners of Yorktown are university endowments, foundations, families and pension funds.

How did Camden Resources get its name?
Interesting story. Yorktown was named after the winning battle of the Revolutionary War. The previous encounter of the war was the battle of Camden, August 1780, which pitted poorly led Americans against experienced British war veterans. When the skirmish began, the American leadership, headed by a general and a colonel, cowardly abandoned the field of battle. Two of the six officers that remained and fought, and eventually were taken prisoner, were a Major Patten and a Captain Rhodes. The defeat at Camden was only a momentary setback, where the surviving troops re-gathered, were re-equipped, and in a year had driven the British back into Charleston and Savannah where the siege of Yorktown effectively ended the war with a victory for the Americans.
